Well, that didn't take long.

One week of daycare, a cold, and an ear infection.

Any one have any suggestions for getting a kid to take her antibiotics if she won't swallow excess liquid in her mouth, and the "suck on my finger while I sneak it in the side of your mouth" trick isn't working? A fever, an ear ache, and a clogged nose don't help matters and I can't seem to get her to take the stuff.

Put it in a bottle with a few ounces of milk.
Hope she is better soon!

If that's allowed, we're trying it next. Otherwise its gonna be a long ass ten days.

Courtiesy of someone who as been on every antibiotic out there:
You can safely mix antibiotics with milk. Do NOT mix them with juices - expecially acidic ones like orange juice. Grapefruit juice should NOT be drunk by anybody on antibiotics. It has the power to kill the drug even in the stomach/intestinal system.

Yep-milk should be fine- you could also try putting it in a bottle straight. I think they also make a pacifier that you can put medicine into and the baby can suck it out of that.

We thought there should be a pacifier that did that, but its hard to want to try and find it late on a Sunday. Milk trick totally works, now its just a matter of making sure she still eats after those two ounces.
