Did you know I had a knitting blog? Yeah, I kind of forgot too...
I'm going to do my best to keep it up, since I've found that knitting again is good for my head.

We are done with baby food in this house. I have brought in what we have left (which is a lot since I had just stocked up), to work for the other women who use the mother's room to have, since their kids are younger than Sprout.
Along with all of this real food, we have less nursing. I think we are finally starting the process of weaning.
So... how does this work? When did y'all do it? She is willing to use a sippy for water mixed with a very very small amount of juice, but not enough to get any really meaningful amount of liquid, so I would fear dehydration.
Also, anyone willing to answer when they totally gave it up?

... If I were to say, do a T.uppe.rware party, would anyone be interested? I was thinking of getting some of those freeze pop things, and some smaller storage thing. Maybe think a little more about what I get for the multitudes of Sprout things, and setup my kitchen a little better.
Any takers?
*PS. The stuff I really want, the classic looking bowls and stuff, is only available as hostess stuff. Which is why I am interested in hosting, not just buying online...

We have three of the four top teeth through her gums.
This last one is giving us trouble.
I miss sleep.
God bless acetaminophen.

Week before last, I worked 64 hours. Last week I worked 47.5 hours. I'm a bit toasty, but I'm itching to blog. This post is just a laundry list of things I've been meaning to post.
My friend Kristen, who I've been a very bad friend to since having the Sprout, lost her mom last month to a long fight with breast cancer. I met her mom once, at her wedding. She had been going through chemo at the time, and made some really good jokes about her wig. I have huge respect for anyone who can be going through something so horrible and still have a sense of humor. I'm bummed I didn't get to know her better, I don't think I'll be able to see a short red haircut without thinking of her wig. I've wanted to do the breast cancer walk since I lost my great aunt, and maybe this will be the year. With a red wig, of course.
The Sprout is a crawling machine. I don't know what I was wishing for, but she now chases the dog, and tries to push up on her toes. I fear walking, but I'm still looking forward to it. I've already started looking online for better shoes since I suspect walking will come at the same time as mud, and we'll need something better than leather booties for any outdoor adventures.
Speaking of a walking Sprout, I'm struggling with how to deal with my neighbors. Here is the run down.
- They are not good dog owners. Their one has socialization issues and has tried to attack Tess. They are left to roam their back yard, they dig under the fence, and the one can get up on their garage roof and could easily jump into our yard if we didn't have a tree in the way.
- Since the tree came down last year, we've been plugging the holes they dig with pieces of wood.
- We need to remove the wood because its not safe for the kid, oddly enough, neither are the holes or their dogs being in our yard.
- We need to remove the remaining tree because of a larger drainage issue, not to mention I want a damn garden.
So now I'm stuck with how to keep my yard and family safe, while dealing with their piss poor pet ownership. Just to make things more interesting, she works for the city, in the department where I would have to report her. Oh, and there is the whole parking thing. They have, as of this morning four vehicles parked in front. They have one parking space in front of their house... you do the math.
Among the many things that I love about my husband and my life, I got some great friends as part of the deal. This last weekend was a blast and exactly the relaxing diversion I needed. Seeing Syl's spawn was hilarious. They are adorable. Not to mention, getting to see Attilla was great. She's growing up so fast.

So, I'm playing along too. You can see what I mean here.
Here is the interesting thing. Its one of my favorite numbers. My birthday has a lot of them in there, so does my SSN, and a variety of other numbers that are important to me. And it all plays well into cribbage, one of my favorite games.
you chose AX - your Enneagram type is SEVEN (aka "The Enthusiast").
"I am happy and open to new things"
Adventurers are energetic, lively, and optimistic. They want to contribute to the world.
How to Get Along with Me
Give me companionship, affection, and freedom.
Engage with me in stimulating conversation and laughter.
Appreciate my grand visions and listen to my stories. Especially when I tell them over and over again.
Don't try to change my style. Accept me the way I am.
Be responsible for youself. I dislike clingy or needy people.
Don't tell me what to do.
What I Like About Being a SEVEN
being optimistic and not letting life's troubles get me down
being spontaneous and free-spirited
being outspoken and outrageous. It's part of the fun.
being generous and trying to make the world a better place
having the guts to take risks and to try exciting adventures This one isn't always easy, but I always feel better after I do it. Ask me about my first phone call home from Europe some time...
having such varied interests and abilities Knitting, computers and wood working anyone?
What's Hard About Being a SEVEN
not having enough time to do all the things I want
not completing things I start Who me?
not being able to profit from the benefits that come from specializing; not making a commitment to a career I force myself to do this one because of comittments, but I'm more like my dad than I care to admit to.
having a tendency to be ungrounded; getting lost in plans or fantasies
feeling confined when I'm in a one-to-one relationship Just for the record, I disagree here, or I wouldn't be married.
SEVENs as Children Often
are action oriented and adventuresome
drum up excitement
prefer being with other children to being alone
finesse their way around adults
dream of the freedom they'll have when they grow up
SEVENs as Parents
are often enthusiastic and generous
want their children to be exposed to many adventures in life Hell ya! I'm planning to shove her into all kinds of cool things.
may be too busy with their own activities to be attentive I disagree here, but I guess if you count the fact that I have a full time job, maybe.
